Connor was pulled from a high kill shelter last year He was very fearful & withdrawn. He has since blossomed & readily seeks affection. He is friendly with most people, but some people just don't set well with him & he will make a face like a gargoyle & snarls. He very rarely snaps & gives a very fair warning that it is coming. I affectionately call him my little chupacabra.He is housebroken & good on a leash. He is a low to moderately active dog that gets along well with other dogs & shows only a little interest in cats when he is going along with the rest of the pack. He started having seizures Christmas Eve, but is well controlled with his twice daily dosing of phenobarbital. His meds are only $8.00 a month He is really looking for that special person that doesn't mind a special needs boy. He hasn't had a seizure in months. He is also heartworm positive, but has been on prevention since he was rescued & is doing much better with investigative ivermectin & pulsed doxycycline therapy. He really is a wonderful & loving boy that can provide someone with companionship, He is in a foster home north of Hammond, LA. All our adoptable dogs will need someone with the time and energy to provide regular exercise. Dog's should be walked at least twice a day and not left out in the yard to play and get energy out alone. Most behavior problems are a result of too little exercise, the dog becomes bored and destructive. Our adoption fee varies from 150.00 to 250.00. ALL of the money from adoption fees or donations go to the animals only. we are a not for profit rescue group.
